I just received the CD/DVD package of My Chemical Romance's 'The Black Parade Is Dead!' from Warner Bros Records. I can't wait to watch the Maxwell show and relive October 24th. It's always exciting when you get to watch the video of a show you were at, and with Maxwell's being such a tiny, intimate show it makes it even better. I remember my flight getting to Newark in the afternoon, getting the train to my hotel in Brooklyn, getting the subway and train back to NJ, hoping I'd make it in time, a cab to the venue, standing in the rain under my umbrella, getting my name checked off the list, receiving a wristband, meeting Black Velvet contributor Suzanne, and then finally the doors opening. Now we can watch video footage from the show. You won't see me 'cause I was at the back though...

Too bad Black Velvet 57 went to the printers already and my review of the MCR CD/DVD will have to be kept back for issue 58.
